Will my carried-forward losses come across?

Yes. If you have tax losses from prior years that carry forward, these are picked up as part of the tax agency handover.

Once your Tax Agency Authority is active with Afirmo:

  • The tax team can see your full IRD history including prior year tax losses
  • Carried-forward losses are applied automatically against your current year taxable income
  • Your real-time tax dashboard shows the offset already factored in

If your losses are recorded in Xero or your old accountant's working papers but haven't been formally lodged with IRD, flag this on your onboarding session and the team will sort it out.
