What is an IR4 return?

An IR4 is the annual income-tax return for a company. Active New Zealand companies generally file an IR4 for each income year. A company that is no longer trading still files returns unless Inland Revenue has accepted a non-active company declaration.

Afirmo's standard past-return price for a 2026 IR4 is $1,250 plus GST. Earlier-year, grandfathered, dormant and previously quoted work can use different pricing, so the team must confirm the company, year and exception before quoting.
